True Daughter is Wonderland Queen - Chapter 13
Jackson couldn’t help but laugh out loud.
David joined in, chuckling, “Yeah, you guys are being too bossy.”
When David, the most respected and accomplished of these people, spoke, their expressions changed noticeably.
Molly felt a bit embarrassed and said. “Sorry about that, I’ll try to learn more.”
Jason managed a smile and admitted. “I was thoughtless. I shouldn’t have acted like this.”
Ryan and Emily looked unhappy and kept silent.
Xena seemed a little awkward as she said, “Honestly, I don’t know anything about chores and I’m clumsy. I’m worried I won’t be able to
She turned to Janie with a hopeful tone, asking “Janie, would you be willing to teach me?
Janie paused for a moment before responding. “Sorry, I cant,”
Xena’s spirits sank at this response as she muttered, “You’re right, I’m so stupid.”
Ryan frowned slightly and directed his gaze toward Xena
Jackson maintained his silence. After a brief pause, he spoke coldly. “If you’re aware that you’re not the most capable person here, why do you continue to impose on others in this manner!”
Xena bit her lip. Her fondness for Jackson evaporated instantly.
Frowning further, Ryan interjected. “Jackson, you’ve misunderstood Xena.
Jackson replied nonchalantly, “Well
Janie’s patience was wearing thin. She even began to regret attending this show,
Attempting to maintain her composure while speaking, she said. “We got to hurry.”
David suggested, “We could divide into groups. I’ll team up with Janie and Jackson.”
Unconsciously, Jackson glanced at David, who returned a smile.
Emily grew anxious and stated half–jokingly. “How can that be? David, you’re the one I invited here. You can’t leave me.”
David’s smile became strained in response
Jackson’s expression reflected his displeasure as he said, “It’s easy. I’ll be in a group with Janie. You can team up with the people you invited. Let’s form our respective groups and do our own meals.”
This approach was indeed straightforward and reasonable.
Most people here were new to cooking and reluctant to start.
They seemed more interested in receiving benefits without working
Janie nodded in agreement
With a hint of frustration, Ryan remarked, “Then it’s settled.”
Xena appeared embarrassed as she interjected, “Ryan, none of us know how to cook.”
Ryan displayed signs of annoyance. He attempted to suppress his irritation by responding. “Then learn gradually“.
Xena was at a loss for words.
She had dreamed of a cozy life, Janie would be there to serve her, but that dream didn’t come true in the end.
Now that things were like this, David could only shrug and say, “Well, that’s rich
He felt a bit bummed about not being able to gross with Janie and Jackson.
Jane then asked, “Can I head to my room to get settled?”
Mr. Walker chimed in. “Okay, everyone can go to your room with the staff’s help”
Janie turned to Jackson and said, “I go then”
Jackson thought for a second before suggesting. “Let me help you with the suitcase.”
Janie nodded right away, saying. “Thank you.”
Jackson happily grabbed the suitcase and followed behind her with a big smile
Xena’s expression darkened as she couldn’t help but wonder about their relationship.
I used to think Xena was cute; now she’s just getting on my nerves. Ugh, it’s so frustrating! She’d better quit.
[Hahaha, Jackson is so adorable.]
It seems like David has a soft spot for Jamie. She’s pretty cute and has an awesome personality. I’m into her as
Janie’s fans need to chill. Don’t try to rush things all at once.
Janie and Jackson’s rooms were next to each other. Both rooms were small, simple farmhouses and very neat.
There was no live equipment in the rooms.
Jackson dropped the bags and plopped down on the chair beside him, shouting excitedly, Janie, I missed you!”
Janie shot him a look of disgust, “Can you please act normal?”
Jackson quickly wiped the smile off his face and said seriously, Tm sorry, Janie, for making you spend time with those annoying people.
But Janie shrugged it off, “It’s fine. Don’t let it bother you. I’ll ignore them. It’s only for a few days anyway.”
Jackson nodded in understanding. I’m only participating in this round. I had no idea who I’d be meeting beforehand.”
He frowned, “I thought this would be fun, but it’s like drama so frustrating
Janie smiled softly as her gaze drifted back to the room
When Janie and Jackson stepped out of the room, they ran into Ryan and Xena.
Ryan looked conflicted. He was unsure how to start a conversation with Janie.
Meanwhile, Xena smiled and said, “Hey, Janie, Mr. Moore.”
Janie replied flatly. “We’re not that close, so please don’t call me that.”
Jackson’s expression turned serious as he added, “Only our family calls her Janie‘
Xena’s face fell like she’d bitten into something sour
She tried hard to hide her frustration, looking around nervously before
e pulling Ryan n closer and whispering, “but we’re family, sister! It’s great to see you again.”
p back while calming down Jackson.
Janie took a step b
“Stop pretending” she said coldly. “I’m not going to your place – don’t worry about it.”
Xena smiled and fell silent when she noticed others were approaching
Ryan kept his eyes on Janie as she walked straight past him without looking in his direction.
Jackson gave Ryan a blank stare la
before quickly catching up with Janie.
Everyone can
The director’s voice chord from the yard, “Starting today, we’ll be picking our own vegetables, chopping wood, and cooking.”
Xena immediately suggested, “Ryan, How about I go pick vegetables and you chop wood?”
Ryan nodded in agreement.
Emily walked up to Xena with a grin, “Hey, let’s team up
Xena agreed with a smile and called up Molly.
Then she turned to Janie, “want to join 18?“
Janie shook her head. “No, I’m going to chop some wood.”
Xena and the others exchanged looks.
“You’re not strong enough. Come to pick vegetables with us instead”
Janie was firm. “No“:
They noticed Janie didn’t seem keen on hanging out with them, so they headed off together.
[Janie doesn’t fit in. I can see through her. She’s trying to blend in with the guys while making them do all the work.
Oh dear, you’re at it again! Don’t judge pretty girls.
Janie made her way over to the woodpile.
Jason jumped in front of her just as she was about to grab the axe
When Janie looked in his direction, Jason smiled and said, “You’re too petite for this heavy stuff. It’s our job as men.
“Jackson, how can you let your sister do this?”
Jackson stayed quiet.
Janie might look soft and weak but she could handle herself
Jason tried lifting the axe one–handed but struggled big time.
He chuckled awkwardly and switched to using both hands instead.
Trying to keep his cool he said with a laugh, “Hahaha, it’s really heavy, Janie, why don’t you go take a break over there?”
Janie just walked away quietly while Jackson watched Jason struggle.
Jason swung his axe with both hands and struck the wood forcefully, but the axe got s
stuck.
His smile vanished instantly. He wanted to show off but things just kept going wrong!
Now he even wondered if the production team was messing with him.
David found Jason’s situation amusing
Ryan stood next to David as they enjoyed watching what unfolded
Jason tried to keep his smile, lifting the axe high before giving it another shot
Jason is such a gentleman. That’s exactly what Janine was hoping for, isn’t it?]
[You’re full of shat. Don’t be a butch
[Pfft, give it up, Jason. Let Janie take oven.]
