I nodded.

“You don’t get it? Why did I come back? I wasn’t coming back for you!”

Mark stared.

“You came back for them? They’re your husband and kid?!”

I smiled.

“Yeah. You had Amy, and I have them. I cooked and cleaned for ten years, and you helped me come back and save them. We’re even.”

“You tricked me?”

Mark remembered everything.

“Don’t worry about it. I married you to wait for the moment.”

I looked at him coldly.

“Don’t act tricked. I was good wife and mother. Did you fulfill your duties as a husband?”

He didn’t say anything.

“Mark, good luck.”

I turned around.

I thought Mark would leave me alone. He found my address. He waited outside my house with Ryan. I was shocked. Mark held white roses.

“Sarah, it’s my fault. Give me another chance. Ten years meant nothing?”

Ryan changed his tune and called me mom.

“Mom, I’m sorry. I need you. Come back…”

I pushed Ryan away and called security. They threw Mark and Ryan out. Mark waited outside. Everyone talked about me having another family.

“You never know. She looks so nice, but she’s a player?”

“I thought she loved her husband. She has another one? Disgusting.”

David found out. He put Lily to bed and came to me, worried.

“Do you need me to do something?”

I didn’t know how to explain.
