The Infertile Luna’s Revenge and the Alpha’s Regret - Chapter 71
Chapter 71
The battle raged around them, but everything seemed to fall away when he appeared–the Rogue King. His presence was overwhelming, suffocating, like a shadow that blotted out the moon itself. The warriors of Shadow Pack fell back, their ears flattening at the ferocity of his aura. He was powerful, dangerous, and he knew it.
Amelia‘ s fur stood on end as her gaze locked with his. He was tall, his massive frame rippling with muscles, his fur a dark, almost black hue, like the night itself. His eyes glowed a feral amber, and his lips. curled into a mocking smirk.
“So, this is the Rising Moon Bloodline,” the Rogue King’s voice carried across the battlefield, smooth and dripping with arrogance. “I expected something more impressive.‘
Amelia’s hackles raised, but she did not back down. She stood firm, her body tense, her every muscle coiled for action. The air was thick with the scent of blood and sweat, and yet, everything about him screamed confidence–confidence that he would win, that he would crush the Shadow Pack just as he had done countless times before.
But what he didn’t know was that this time was different. Her eyes glowed with a fierce intensity.
“You just fell into our trap, Rogue King,” she said, her voice low, dangerous.
The Rogue King laughed, his head tilting back as if mocking her words. “I’ve destroyed entire packs before. You think I’m scared of some Luna who can barely hold her bloodline’s power?” He shook his head. “I’ll kill you and take that bloodline with you.” He laughed like a madman.
With that, he lunged forward, his enormous wolf form tearing through the air, claws slashing, teeth bared. Amelia’s heart pounded in her chest, but she was ready.
Teleportation. The word echoed in her mind, and without hesitation, she harnessed the power of the Rising Moon Bloodline. In a split second, she disappeared from her position, the air around her shimmering with the distortion of her sudden movement.
The Rogue King’s eyes widened in surprise. He had expected to see her scramble, to attempt some defensive maneuver. But instead, she vanished–like a whisper in the wind, a shadow moving too fast for even his trained eyes to catch.
She reappeared behind him, her claws slashing across his flank in one fluid, precise motion. The Rogue King roared in pain, spinning around just in time to see Amelia‘ s glowing eyes narrow in a look of pure, focused rage.
“You‘ re slow,” she whispered, “On your left, Rogue King,” her voice barely audible over the battle raging around them. Then, with a flick of her body, she was gone again. “On your right.”
The Rogue King snarled, his head swiveling in all directions as he searched for her. He could feel the air shifting, the subtle vibrations of her movement in the space around him, but she was too quick. Her power was like nothing he had ever encountered before. He had never faced an enemy who could move like this.
“I’ll rip you apart for that!” He roared, charging forward, his claws outstretched. But Amelia was already gone.
Teleportation. The instant the thought crossed her mind, she was gone again, only to reappear in front of him, this time leaping through the air with a vicious snarl. “Right behind you!” She slammed into him with the force of a charging bull, knocking him backward. The Rogue King skidded across the ground, his claws scraping against the earth as he struggled to regain his footing.
“You’re not as strong as you think,” Amelia taunted, her voice dripping with mockery. She crouched low, her muscles tense as she watched him slowly rise to his feet.
The Rogue King’s eyes burned with fury. He was shocked, rattled by the ferocity of her attacks. He had never faced anything like this before. No pack, no alpha, no wolf had ever moved with such speed, such precision. Her power, amplified by the Rising Moon Bloodline, was something he couldn’t have predicted.
He roared again, but this time there was a sense of desperation in the sound. “You think you can stop me with your little tricks? You‘ re just a girl undeserving of such a bloodline. I’ll show you what true power is!”
He lunged at her again, faster this time, his body a blur of muscle and rage. But once again, Amelia vanished before he could land the blow.
“Above you,” she whispered, mocking him. This time, she reappeared directly above him, using the momentum of her teleportation to launch herself in a devastating dive. Her claws came down like daggers, raking across his back and tearing through his fur.
“Is that the best you’ve got?” she mocked, her voice thick with the power of her bloodline. “You‘ re already fading, Rogue King. You can’t even match my speed.”
The Rogue King gritted his teeth, pain flashing across his face. He whipped around, claws slashing in every direction as he desperately searched for her. But Amelia was never where he expected her to be. She moved faster than he could track, always one step ahead.
“You’re not even fighting me,” the Rogue King snarled, his eyes wild with rage. “You‘ re just running. Coward!”
Amelia laughed, the sound dark and confident. “I’m not running,” she said, her voice cold, calculating. “I’m letting you chase your tail. You‘ re the one. who’s running, not me.”
And with that, she was gone again, vanishing in a flash of movement.
She reappeared to his side, her teeth sinking deep into his shoulder, her claws gripping his fur as she tore into him with brutal force. She could feel the blood rush into her mouth, the power of the Rising Moon Bloodline coursing through her with every strike. The Rogue King howled in pain, but Amelia didn’t relent.
The Rogue King, now staggered, tried to swing around to shake her off, but Amelia was too fast. She teleported again, reappearing directly in front of his face. His eyes widened as he realized, too late, that he had fallen into her trap.
“On your left,” she whispered, her voice a deadly purr in his ear.
