The Infertile Luna’s Revenge and the Alpha’s Regret - Chapter 58
Chapter 58
The preparations for the wedding were in full swing, and the entire Shadow Pack seemed to be buzzing with excitement. Everywhere Amelia went, she was met with smiles, congratulations, and warm compliments. The pack members, all so eager to see her become their Luna, couldn’t help but express how delighted they were to have her as part of their family.
“You look absolutely stunning, Luna!” A young woman gushed as she handed Amelia a delicate gown for the wedding.
“Everyone’s been talking about how you‘ re going to make the most beautiful Luna we’ve ever had,” another pack member said, offering her a bouquet of roses to hold as they prepared the decorations. “It’s so great to finally have a Luna we can be proud of. We’ve all been waiting for you.”
The words, so filled with warmth and admiration, filled Amelia’s heart with a deep sense of belonging. She had never experienced anything like this before–this level of respect, care, and affection. It was like she had been swept into a world where she was truly valued, where her presence was wanted, not forced.
As she wandered through the packhouse, she saw how the preparations were coming together. The hall had been decorated with beautiful flowers, and tables had been set with fine china and crystal glasses. The pack members were all working together, each person putting in their best effort to ensure the wedding would be perfect.
Amelia couldn’t help but smile as she walked past the workers who nodded to her with respect and happiness.
“You‘ re going to make a great Luna,” one of the older women told her warmly, a twinkle in her eye. “I’m sure of it.”
“Thank you,” Amelia replied softly, her voice full of gratitude.
Later that evening, as they lay in bed, the soft moonlight streaming through the window, Logan turned to Amelia with a look of determination in his eyes. His hand gently caressed her cheek, and he smiled at her, his voice soft yet filled with conviction.
“I’m going to give you the grandest wedding ever, Amelia,” Logan promised, his fingers brushing against her skin. “I want you to have everything you’ve ever dreamed of, and more. I’ll invite every alpha, every leader, and make sure everyone knows how much you mean to Amelia‘ s heart warmed at his words.
She felt overwhelmed by the love and respect. Logan had for her. It was something she had never imagined possible. But here, with Logan, everything was different. He valued her for who she was, not for what she could do for him.
But as her emotions swirled, something tugged at her heart. She had never truly shared her past with Logan. Though she had confided in him about her feelings, there was a part of her history that she had yet to reveal the past she had tried to bury. As much as she adored Logan, she felt like it was time to tell him the truth about her previous marriage. She owed him that much.
Taking a deep breath, she turned to face him, her eyes filled with hesitation.
“I have something I need to tell you, Alpha,” she began softly, her voice steady but tinged with uncertainty. “I’ve been married… before.”
Logan’s brow furrowed slightly, but he didn’t interrupt. His gaze softened, encouraging her to continue.
“I… I wasn’t in love with him,” she continued, her heart pounding in her chest. “It was a contract, a deal. I pretended to love him for the sake of his mother. I owed her a lot, and this was the only way I could repay her.”
Logan’s eyes darkened for a moment as he processed her words. He could see the vulnerability in her eyes, the uncertainty in her voice. She was afraid that he would judge her, that he would think less of her for her past.
“If you mind this,” she said quietly, her voice tinged with a hint of worry, “I understand.”
Logan’s hand, which had been resting on her waist, tightened slightly, but his touch was still gentle. He met her gaze and gave her a reassuring smile, one that reached his eyes.
“I don’t mind at all, Amelia,” he said, his voice soft and sincere. “You don’t need to explain yourself to me. I’m just glad you‘ re here with me now.”
Amelia let out a breath she hadn’t realized she was holding. His words melted away the tightness in her chest. She had feared he would see her as damaged or tainted, but his reassurance eased those fears.
The next day, as the wedding preparations continued, Logan kept his promise. He took Amelia by the hand and led her through the halls of the packhouse, introducing her to every pack member, proudly showing off his mate. The respect and admiration they received from everyone was undeniable.
“Everyone knows you‘ re the one for me, Amelia,” Logan said, his voice firm and full of pride. “And they’ll see how much you mean to me.”
