The Infertile Luna’s Revenge and the Alpha’s Regret - Chapter 57
Chapter 57
As the banquet continued, Amelia found herself drawn into conversations with the pack members, laughing and smiling. They treated her with kindness and respect, asking her about her life before coming to the pack. For the first time in a long while, she felt like she truly belonged.
But as the laughter and music surrounded her, Amelia’s mind drifted back to the banquets at the Lotus Pack–the ones she had attended with Adam. She remembered sitting behind Alpha Adam and Bridgette, watching as others mingled while she was left to the shadows.
She had never been treated with such warmth in her old pack. Instead, she had been invisible. She recalled the moment when the family heirloom, a necklace that had been passed down for generations, had been given to Bridgette instead of her. It was meant to be the symbol of the Luna’s status, and yet, it had been given to someone else.
The whispers, the snide remarks from the pack members as they looked down at her, all of it had humiliated her more than she had ever let on. But here, in Shadow Pack, it was different. She was treated with respect and care, as if she mattered.
She glanced around at the faces of the pack members, at the warmth in their eyes, and felt a lump form in her throat. She quickly blinked her eyes, willing away the tears that threatened to fall. She wouldn’t cry. Not here. Not now. But deep inside, she felt really grateful.
Logan, sensing her shift in mood, turned to her, his gaze softening. “Are you okay?” he asked, his voice gentle.
Amelia nodded, forcing a smile. “I’m fine. Just… thinking.”
Logan didn’t press her further, but he reached out and squeezed her hand, his touch reassuring.
As the night wore on, the pack members. gathered in a circle, with Logan standing in the center. His presence was magnetic, and everyone looked to him for direction. When the time felt right, Logan cleared his throat, and the room fell silent.
“I have an announcement to make,” Logan said, his voice strong but tender.
“Tonight, I want to ask the woman who has captured my heart to be my partner for life.”
A hush fell over the room as Amelia‘ s heart skipped a beat. She wasn’t sure what to expect, but the look in Logan’s eyes told her everything she needed to know.
He dropped to one knee before her, taking her hand in his. The atmosphere was charged with anticipation. Amelia‘ s breath caught in her throat as she looked down at him. Logan’s eyes were full of emotion, his usually carefree demeanor replaced by a rare seriousness that made her heart race.
“Amelia,” he began, his voice low and sincere, “I never thought I would find my mate. For twenty–five years, I lived thinking that I was destined to be alone. But the moment I saw you, I knew that everything I had been searching for was standing right in front of me. I knew you were the one I was meant to be with.”
He paused, his eyes glistening with admiration. “You are beautiful, strong, and everything I could have ever asked for. I am honored to have you as my fated mate. Will you marry me and join me in this life, as my Luna, my partner, my equal?”
Amelia’s heart pounded in her chest. This wasn’t just a proposal; it was a promise. A promise of a future together. She couldn’t believe this was happening, that she was standing here, in this beautiful pack, with someone who truly loved her for who she was.
Tears welled in her eyes as she nodded, her voice barely above a whisper. “Yes, Logan. Yes, I will marry you.”
Logan’s face broke into a radiant smile, and he slipped a beautiful ring onto her finger.
