Gary laughed towards the sky.

“Mia Dad will avenge you. Just wait for me. I’m coming soon!”

“Rachel, I’m in no position to ask for your forgiveness in this life, but I will never let you down in the next life!”

Before I fell to the ground, all I could think of was that Gary was lying to me again! When I woke up again.

Gary and Linda were gone.

My living room was clean and tidy as if nothing had happened. Then, the police notified me to claim the body.

The bodies of Gary and Linda were washed ashore by the sea. Their hands were tied tightly together. The police said that they committed suicide for love.

Given that someone took a blurry picture of them jumping into the sea, the case was closed without any suspense.

Gary lied to Linda.

He never divorced me. So, he was the shameless one who made me completely alone!

“Does he think I will forgive him now? No. Never!” I thought.

After I saved the tenth child who fell into the water, and the waves swept me away, I gave up struggling and let the sea swallow me.

The cold water poured into my nostrils.

My tears mixed with the seawater.

That was how miserable Mia had felt when she died! In the azure waters, I seemed to see a small figure running towards me, calling out to me, “Mom!”
