My Husband's Fake Divorce for His Mistress - Chapter 4
Chapter 4
In the days that followed, Dorian Johnson returned to the bedroom promptly every evening. However, I was caught up in work transitions and too busy to pay him much attention. I assumed this façade of harmony would last until I left. But while organizing the study, I stumbled upon a name change application.
Dorian Johnson’s name was on it. The date was from two months ago. I stood there, momentarily stunned. I continued rummaging through the drawers and eventually found an official document in the bottom drawer. It listed the name Finnian Johnson, formerly known as Finnian Wilson.
At that moment, my heart, which had been anxiously suspended, finally sank. Any lingering doubts I had about Dorian vanished, replaced by a resolve as solid as stone. With the official document in hand, I walked into the living room where Dorian was watching a movie with Aurelia Wilson.
Seeing me enter so abruptly, Dorian barely had time to react. I handed him the document. Dorian glanced at it, his face contorting with panic and confusion.
“Evangeline… honey… let me explain! This… this is because Finnian is too young, I couldn’t be so heartless…”
His words made me laugh, a bitter, self–mocking sound. “Having a son behind my back, Dorian Johnson, you’ve really outdone yourself.”
As I spoke, Dorian’s face grew increasingly pale, his lips moving without producing any sound. I looked at him coldly and handed over the divorce agreement I had prepared.
“Dorian, let’s get a divorce.”
“I’ve already signed the divorce papers. You don’t need to pretend to divorce for someone else. I’ll set you free.”
