Love’s Mark - Chapter 22
Watching the seawater engulf the Maybach, I jumped into the sea without hesitation.
Even though I knew I couldn’t do anything, I still jumped in, watching Shane close his eyes and sink with the sea.
I got into the car, watching him close his eyes.
The sharp–featured, handsome man in front of me was the man I once loved deeply.
But now, he was also going to die.
The sea was so deep; I sank deeper and deeper with Shane.
Just as I was feeling gloomy, a voice came from behind: “Holly, is that really you?” I turned around and saw Shane floating outside the car.
Looking at the other Shane in the car, I understood; the one outside was his soul.
“It’s me.” Shane looked at me, happy.
He asked, “Holly, can you take me with you?” Take him with me? Of course not.
I shook my head, “No, you can’t die, Shane, hold on, they’ll rescue you soon.
“Shane, I’m already dead, I can’t take care of Grandma, if you live, please take care of her for me.”
“She’s my only concern in this world.” At this point, I froze.
Besides Grandma, I seemed to have forgotten someone, someone very, very important to me.
But who was it? I couldn’t remember.
Shane gave a bitter smile, “What about me?”
“You? Ahui, you’ll have someone who loves you and someone you love, start your life again.” I seemed to hear a voice.
Then, the Maybach was lifted by something.
Someone had discovered Shane’s suicide attempt.
I knew he was going back.
Shane was saved.
Shortly after he was pulled out of the car, an invisible force pulled him back.
I smiled and waved, “Please take care of my grandma, definitely…” I tried to maintain my most beautiful appearance in his memory.
