Chapter 24 

Nicole arrived at the airport, intending to return to Paris. 

But this time she was not alone, Braxton was waiting for her. 

Seeing her coming over, Braxton suddenly breathed a sigh of relief. 

“Did you come? Has everything been clarified?” 

Nicole nodded, she had said and done everything she needed to. If Cruz still didn’t understand, she didn’t mind saying it a thousand times, ten thousand times. 

She waited at the airport for a while and then boarded the plane. 

The plane tickets were bought by Braxton, and they happened to be seats. right next to each other. As Nicole watched herself leave this city once again, her feelings were complicated. She didn’t dislike this city, but there was just someone here that she didn’t want to see. 

She let out a sigh of relief, thankfully, everything was finally over. 

Nicole tilted her head and leaned on Braxton’s shoulder, feeling the stiffness of the man, she couldn’t help but laugh. 

“Let me lean on you for a moment, I’m a bit tired.” 

Braxton relaxed himself, trying to make Nicole more comfortable. 

“You’ve worked hard, it must have been painful to let go of the past.” 

She responded softly, “But I got a better future.” 

“Yes, your future is bright.” 

Braxton chuckled lightly, and Nicole also raised the corners of her mouth. 

She fell asleep quickly and, upon returning to Paris, went straight back to the studio. 

Her life seemed to have not changed much, everything was moving in the right direction, except that Braxton was becoming clingier, demanding at label every day. 

When the studio reached a profit of millions, they held a celebration party, not only to celebrate the complete success of the studio, but also to celebrate Nicole no longer being bound by the past. 

That day, she drank a little wine and, looking at her colleagues‘ faces, she couldn’t help but feel moved. 

Yes, she has completely moved on. 

She picked up the wine glass and drank it all in one gulp. 

Afterwards, it was Braxton who drove her home. 

“I used to drive you home every day, but you never gave me a proper title. You’re not planning to string me along forever, are you? he muttered.” 

Nicole couldn’t help but laugh again after hearing that, and she responded. softly. 

“Okay, I’ll give you a title.” 

Immediately after, the man stood still. 

“You have to take responsibility for what you say, Nicole. If you later tell me that you were drunk, I will say that you are irresponsible.” 

Her smile grew wider as she hooked her arms around Braxton’s neck and pulled him down, planting a kiss on those lips. 

Chapter 21 

“I will take care of you, let’s be together, I am ready.” 

In an instant, Braxton trembled slightly, he had been waiting for this day for a long time. 

He had never told Nicole that, in fact, he had noticed her before she married Cruz, but they met too late. By the time he saw her again, she was already married to Cruz, so he had to go abroad to start his own 

business. 

Unexpectedly, after going around in circles, they finally met abroad, and she had also gotten divorced, giving herself another chance. 

Nicole always said he had ulterior motives, but what he feared most was the fleeting opportunity. Now he can finally rest assured. 

Braxton kissed her forcefully, his tone menacing. 

“I waited for so long, luckily you took charge.” 

Nicole laughed. Yeah, after waiting for so long, it’s good that I finally waited for you.
