How is it possible? She just couldn’t leave a living person alone, even if they were a stranger, she would still lend a helping hand. 

But after helping him, Nicole didn’t want to see him at all. 

So she didn’t want to explain anything about the questions Cruz asked. 

‘We have already divorced. Whether I am dating, in a relationship, or getting married again, it’s none of your business. Cruz, don’t stay in my house anymore. You are not welcome here.” 

She said, and opened the door. 

Cruz’s heart ached even more. He had imagined countless scenarios, but never did he expect Nicole to be so heartless. Her attitude towards him was like that of a stranger. 

He looked at her steadily, his voice filled with pain. 

“Nicole, I know Angela made you angry before, I have already punished her for you. I know I was wrong, I have never stopped loving you. Nicole, will you come back with me? I know you still love me, you are just angry right now. I can wait for you, I can prove to you that everything I say is 

true.” 

“Nicole, you didn’t want me, you clearly loved me so much.” 

If it were in the past, if Cruz spoke to her like this, she would probably be pleasantly surprised. After all, in their marriage, she always carefully watched his expression, even if she wanted a kiss, she had to ask him for half a day before he would finally give her one.

Nicole didn’t say anything, she just forcefully pushed him out of the door and then slammed it shut in front of him. 

In the room, Braxton observed Nicole’s expression and smiled after confirming that she had no special reaction. 

“Was the soup really made for me to drink, not for my ex–husband to see?” 

Upon hearing this joke, Nicole burst into laughter. 

–“I wasn’t that naive. Provoking others with such things, hurting others, 

love is love, not loving is not loving. The soup is also for you. You have helped me a lot.” 

“I won’t be polite then, I won’t leave a single bite, it’s all mine. Braxton. chuckled, not mentioning what had just happened, as if Cruz was just a passerby who had left after spending the night.” 

He placed the pot of soup on the table, took a spoon and sipped it slowly. Braxton did not lie, he really didn’t leave a single drop, almost eating the pot as well. Even the side dishes were eaten completely clean. 

This attitude made Nicole can’t help but compare him to Cruz. In the past, no matter what she did for Cruz, Cruz would only take one bite, no matter how hard she tried, he would not take a second bite, often making her think that the food she made was not satisfactory. 

Now, seeing someone treat herself so carefully, a smile couldn’t help but appear on Nicole’s lips. 

Braxton was very conscientious. After finishing his soup, he washed the dishes himself and offered to drive Nicole to the studio.

She did not refuse, but got into Braxton’s car and arrived at the studio. When her colleagues saw her coming with Braxton, they all gave knowing looks and she didn’t explain much, just sat down at her own 

desk. 

The senior sister walked over and said, “Nicole, someone was looking for you yesterday. It seems like he wants you to design something. He left his contact information. Do you want to ask about it?” 

Nicole nodded. Although the studio had now gotten on track, everyone definitely hoped for more projects. Therefore, even these vague clients Avere within their consideration.

call.

“Hello, I’m Nicole from the studio. Do you have any plans to design something?” 

There was no response from the other side. The silence lasted for a while, and just as Nicole was about to speak again, a low, hoarse voice came through.
