Chapter 17 

The man stared at her fixedly. 

“Yes, everything was your fault. If it wasn’t for you, Nicole would never have left me.” 

Listening to his extremely confident tone, Angela couldn’t help but burst. into laughter. As she laughed, tears streamed down her face, eventually turning into hatred as she glared fiercely at him. 

“It’s not my fault, it’s yours! Cruz, you know very well, if Nicole didn’t love you anymore, she wouldn’t have left you! You’re just making excuses for yourself, you don’t want to admit that you’re the one who lost Nicole!” 

“Cruz, it was you who drove Nicole away, not me! If Nicole truly loved you, she wouldn’t have left. She had already been thinking about leaving!” 

“Really feel sorry for you, still waiting for her to beg you! In the end, it all went wrong, really divorced her, couldn’t find her, only then did you feel nervous, Cruz, you drove her away yourself!” 

Angela disregarded everything and blurted out all the words. 

Cruz looked at her darkly, his face as cold as ice, as if he was seeing some garbage. 

He coldly spat out two words: “Shut up.” 

Angela didn’t listen to him, but instead spoke even louder. 

“Don’t you want to admit it yet? Well, let me tell you, no normal person can stand you wanting a divorce 99 times. Nicole was driven away by you!”

“I told you to shut up, Angela!” 

“Cruz, Nicole were both driven away by you, it was you, it was you!” 

Cruz suddenly lunged forward, grabbing Angela’s neck so tightly that the woman immediately vomited and rolled her eyes. 

“Madman, Cruz, you are a madman…” 

“No wonder Nicole left you…”

spoke with difficulty, feeling the air slowly decreasing, until she reached the point of almost suffocating. 

“Mr. Yarbrough, the assistant spoke up in a timely manner, bringing Cruz back to his senses.” 

He let go of his hand, and Angela slid down softly. 

Cruz looked solemn, turned around and walked away, no longer caring about Angela’s life or death. 

He returned to Nicole’s room and as he looked around, his frustration grew heavier. He wished he could find something to vent his anger. 

He dared not think about Angela’s words, how could it be him who drove. Nicole away, how could it be him! 

He grabbed his coat and headed straight to the bar. 

Only alcohol could calm the restlessness in his heart now. 

Cruz didn’t tell anyone and buried himself in drinking alone. He drank bottle after bottle until he was almost drunk, when someone walked past him talking on the phone. 

“Is the person you saw really Nicole? Don’t worry, she has already

divorced Cruz now. It’s really funny, that big young master of his really doesn’t think anyone can stand his kind of back and forth torture, does. he? Nicole was already amazing to endure it 99 times.” 

He didn’t catch anything else, only the three words “Nicole“. 

These three words seemed to have a magical power, awakening his senses. Cruz stared at the person, staggering over to them. 

“What did you say, do you know Nicole, where is Nicole, do you know where she is now?” 

His sudden appearance startled the person, and he quickly put away his phone and put on a smile. 

“Cruz, what are you talking about? Did you hear wrong? How could I possibly know where Nicole is?” 

Cruz squinted and recognized that it was his own brother. 

“Who were you just calling, I clearly heard it, you mentioned Nicole’s name! If you don’t say it, don’t even think about leaving here today!” 

For days, his anger had left him with no patience. Cruz grabbed a bottle of wine and smashed it directly on the ground, his face full of hostility. 

The man was taken aback when he saw Cruz like this for the first time. He knew that with the Yarbrough family’s abilities, they could really keep him from leaving here. He could only reluctantly explain the situation. 

“Cruz, I have to tell you, please don’t be upset. I think you were wrong. Everyone can see how much Nicole loves you, but you keep treating her like that. It’s certain that she will leave you! I have a friend who said he saw Nicole abroad. He likes her and wants to pursue her. He asked me if you two have really broken up. I didn’t plan on letting you know, otherwise…” 

Cruz couldn’t hear anything that followed. 

Nicole was abroad, she was abroad! He found her!
