Chapter 12 

The sign was too rare, he looked at it several times before confirming that it was Nicole who had blocked him, not him who had blocked Nicole. In an instant, he thought of something in his heart, and called back, only to receive the same electronic tone. 

Nicole actually blocked him! 

What did she want to do after all? Did I show my love for her at some point, making her feel like she could manipulate me? Otherwise, how could she have possibly blocked me? 

Cruz’s face was cold, still not having figured out the reason, when Angela suddenly screamed. 

“Cruz, so you and Nicole are divorced now.” 

What? Divorce? Didn’t he already withdraw the application with Nicole? 

Cruz’s mind went blank for a second, then he looked straight at Angela. 

The woman’s face was clearly smiling, holding a small red notebook in 

her hand. 

In an instant, Cruz felt as if he had been struck by something, the impossible idea popped into his mind. He strode over and snatched the small notebook from Angela’s hand, only to find it was a Divorce 

Certificate! 

His breathing seemed to stop, his fingers trembling as he opened the Divorce Certificate, inside of which were his and Nicole’s names. 

She did not go to withdraw the application today, instead she agreed to

the divorce and successfully obtained the Divorce Certificate! 

Cruz’s mind went blank, something buzzing inside, Angela’s joyous expression unhidden.

She understood everything, no wonder Cruz wanted to take her home, and even had her stay in Nicole’s room, and even changed the room’s decoration. So that’s how it was, it turns out he was deliberately hiding this surprise. 

“Cruz, so that’s how it is. This time, you actually didn’t agree to Nicole’s request to withdraw the divorce application, Angela’s shy eyes conveyed.” 

But Cruz felt nothing at all, how could Nicole leave him, how could she really agree to a divorce! 

At that moment, he couldn’t hear either Angela’s voice or the sound of the movers. It took him a long time before he could squeeze out a sentence. from between his teeth.

“Cruz, why are you acting like this all of a sudden? Did Nicole say something to you…” 

However, Cruz didn’t bother to deal with her anymore. He called the 

bodyguards and threw Angela out, along with the movers she had hired. It wasn’t until the villa was empty that Cruz finally collapsed, holding his head in disbelief that Nicole had actually divorced him.

She loved him so much, begging for forgiveness ninety–nine times, how could she agree to divorce him! 

Cruz raised his hand and slammed it against the wall. He didn’t believe it. Nicole must be testing him in this way. 

His panicked expression gradually calmed down, and Cruz called for his 

assistant. 

“Find me all the videos of Nicole from this period of time. I want to know what tricks she’s been up to. If I find out, this time it won’t be as simple as filing for divorce.” 

He suppressed his anger and the assistant left. 

It wasn’t until evening that the assistant returned, holding a USB drive in his hand, but his expression didn’t look very good. 

“Mr. Yarbrough, we have finished collecting, but…” 

“What is it?” 

“This may be a little different from what you had in mind.” 

The assistant lowered his head and handed over the USB flash drive. 

Cruz looked at it for a few seconds, picked it up and plugged it into the computer. He randomly selected a date and saw the incident of Angela’s allergy at home that day.
