Cursed with the Imposter Wife - Chapter 8
Chapter 8
“What?” Haley screamed, her voice shrill and unhinged.
She stormed toward us and shoved me aside as she snapped, “Joel, have you lost your mind? Do you know what day it is today? It’s our wedding day! We’re supposed to get married, and you’re taking that bitch to the hospital?”
Her voice dripped with venom as she sneered. “Or is it because she’s parading around in tattered clothes, trying to seduce you? You pervert! I bet you’ve fallen for her-”
Joel couldn’t bear to listen any longer. He snarled and kicked Haley to the ground. His voice was seething with rage. “Shut up, you idiot!”
Haley let out a piercing scream as she crumpled to the floor. Her minions rushed to her aid in shock.
At that moment, the unmistakable sound of a luxury car pulling up to the villa turned everyone’s attention. A Rolls–Royce Phantom, sleek and regal, came to a stop. A driver stepped out and opened the door.
From the back seat emerged a man who exuded an air of sophistication and power. Dressed in a custom–tailored black suit, he instantly commanded the attention of every woman present.
Haley frowned at the figure with a puzzled expression. “Who’s that? What a grand entrance!”
If she had looked closely, she would have noticed Joel standing rigidly beside her. His face was drained of color.
“Mr. Siegel… You’re here…” Joel’s legs wobbled as he forced himself to approach Thomas.
Hearing Joel’s words, Haley scrambled to her feet. Her confusion deepened. “Joel, what nonsense are you talking about now?”
Before she could finish, Joel, who sensed the icy glare Thomas had fixed on him, turned and slapped Haley again.
“Shut up!” Joel snapped. “Do you even know who this is? He is the CEO of Novalux Group, Thomas Siegel!”
“What?” Haley’s eyes widened in disbelief. She turned to Joel, and her voice was shaking. Novalux Group only has one CEO, and that’s supposed to be you, isn’t it?”
Joel trembled under Thomas‘ cold gaze. His voice faltered as he replied, “No… I’m not the CEO.”
Haley’s shock intensified. Her confusion was evident. Before she could say more, Joel barked, “Get down on your knees and apologize to Mr. Siegel!”
Haley glanced at Thomas. She was still unable to comprehend the situation. Though she couldn’t wrap her head around Novalux Group having two CEOs, she knew one thing for certain: apologizing was the last thing she wanted to do.
