After Sending Me to a Mental Hospital, They Regretted it - Chapter 10
The police arrived, and Evelyn was still clutching Julia’s ashes, her expression dazed.
She muttered continuously.
“Good girl, Julia, I am here.”
“Mr. Carlson, what do you think?”
After understanding the situation, the police officers exchanged awkward glances with Antonio.
Antonio looked at the mess on the ground, deeply disappointed in Evelyn.

After a moment of thought, he decisively said, “She’s lost her mind. Take her to a mental hospital,”
I hadn’t said a word the entire time.
I had set up this grand trap, and now it was time to close it.
After paying respects to Amy, we returned home as the day began to brighten.
Antonio had been busy all night and planned to go home and get some rest.
However, as soon as he reached the neighborhood, he was forcibly taken away by the staff of the mental hospital.
“What are you doing? I’m not crazy! Let me go!”
He screamed in terror, struggling.
The medical staff simply injected him with a sedative and bound him to a stretcher with thick ropes.
They placed the consent form I had signed in front of him.
“See? With the family’s signature, you’ll be coming with us for treatment.”
Antonio turned to look back in despair and fear.
The next moment, he went wild, struggling to break free from the ropes and charge at us.
“Miria, why are you doing this to me?”
The sedative quickly took effect.
He slumped to the ground and then was dragged off to the mental hospital.
I smiled as I watched the car drive away.
The weight in my heart finally lifted.
Looking up at the clear blue sky, I finally allowed myself to cry out loud.
“Amy, I avenged you.”
Before Antonio was sent back to the mental hospital, I had already arranged for people to follow him every day.
Though he seemed fine, once he learned from the fortune teller that Amy had died unjustly, he was plagued by guilt and nightmares every
night.
He had secretly seen a therapist before, and with that, I had enough to prove that he had mental issues and get him sent back to the hospital.
After I cried, James appeared at the alley entrance.
He was still wearing the fortune teller’s outfit and gave me a thumbs–up.
“Miria, you really are ruthless. You set up the whole game and sent them straight to the hospital.”
I smiled but didn’t speak.
I had already seen through Antonio’s plan.
I had purposely let James play along, knowing he would be captured by the police and spill everything about me.
Only by sending him back to the mental hospital could we cover our tracks and have a chance to break them down mentally.
“You did great, James. Your act as a ghost really scared Evelyn into a daze.”
Romeu but didn’t speak.

I also gave him a thumbs–up.
James took off the fortune teller’s clothes and threw them in the trash.
He smiled as he walked up to me.
“I’m planning to turn myself into the police. Julia might not be my daughter, but I’ve raised her for so many years, and I still feel guilty. What are your plans?”
I was a little surprised but soon understood.
Everyone had their own choices.
And as for mine…
Thinking of that, I smiled knowingly.
“I plan to take over the mental hospital and become the director there.”
