Chapter 17

After the divorce, Dad gives me a lot of money. Most of it goes to charity. Brittany said she was sorry.

But I can’t forgive her.

“I didn’t have a good childhood and it just drove me crazy seeing what Ashley had. I just don’t understand why you wanted to replace her but not me.”

It wasn’t my fault!

“I’ll stay with her.”

He says.

Dad’s a bad person too.

“It’s okay,” I whispered. “You don’t have to worry about me.”

He tells me to never forget that he loves me.

But he leaves me alone.
