After I Left, Celebrity Husband Regretted it - Chapter 4
“You can’t just leave like this,” he finally spat out, letting the anger he had been trying to contain. “We have an image to uphold. You can’t destroy everything over a ridiculous crisis.”
I looked at him with something that felt liberating disdain. “Everything was already destroyed Eduardo. You just hadn’t noticed.”
That was the moment I saw fear in his eyes. Not fear of losing me but fear of losing control of the perfect facade he had worked so hard to build, seeing it crumble.
For the first time I saw him for what he was. Fragile, vain and miserably small.
Eduardo took a step back trying to find something else to say but there was nothing he could do to change the inevitable.
I took my suitcase and headed for the door without looking back.
“Valeria!” He called out almost pleading in a voice that would have shattered my heart before but I didn’t stop.
I crossed the threshold and shut the door behind me. Freedom though heavy and uncertain, I knew it was victory.

I watched from afar with a tranquility I had never experienced before. The final blow came swiftly.
A journalist to whom I had provided information anonymously revealed uncomfortable details about Eduardo and Camila relationship.
their romance had begun long before filming and compromising photos and private messages surfaced shattering their public images.
The public opinion tore them apart mercilessly.
Eduardo sent desperate messages pleading for me to stop the flood of news but each one went ignored.
He was alone sinking in the disaster he had created.
Of course Camila left him, as soon as the situation became untenable, worried about her own reputation.
Meanwhile I found peace not as the submissive forgotten wife of a celebrity but as someone who had finally reconnected with herself.
With all the divorce paperwork in order and a new life ahead of me, I felt that revenge was complete.
Now Eduardo was just a closed chapter in my life and for the first time I was free.
Weeks later, the divorce proceedings were finally finalized.
The relief I felt when I signed the the last document was indescribable.
Eduardo was now just a bitter shadow in my past; a weight I had finally lifted off my shoulders.
While he struggled to maintain his public image after the scandal, I was focused on building my future.
The first thing I did was open a crisis management consultancy.
