After I Left, Celebrity Husband Regretted it - Chapter 2
Eduardo pushed Camila out of harm’s way and though they both fell to the ground, they ended up with their lips accidentally pressed together.
The crew applauded as Camila snuggled timidly into his arms saying. “Don’t get it wrong. There’s nothing between us.”
Smiling, Eduardo offered no explanation and simply held her tighter.
As I limped away I found a secluded spot to tend to my wound. When I returned everyone was gone.
Darkness surrounded me and the sounds of wild animals echoed around.
I huddled beside a tree waiting in fear until dawn. Coming down the mountain, I finally got a signal and Eduardo called furiously.
“Valeria why didn’t you answer my calls? Camila got bitten by mosquitoes. Go to the hospital and get her medicine.”
I silently listened as his tone grew more impatient. “You have 30 minutes to get back to the set.”
Calmly I replied. “I’m on the mountain.”
Silence hung on the other end, followed by his softer voice. “Stay where you are. I’ll come get you. It’ll take about an hour.”
The sun was already high in the sky but Eduardo never came.
Finally I dragged my injured self back to the set. When I arrived Eduardo entered the the tent while finishing a call with a new candidate for an assistant.
His gaze fell on my phone and he asked coldly, “who were you talking?”
I responded emotionlessly, “to someone you don’t know.”
He assumed it was a stranger and didn’t ask further then he tossed a box of food onto the table.
“I brought you something to eat.”
Opening it, I caught the sour smell of spoiled leftovers.
Eduardo cleared his throat, “Someone grabbed the the wrong box.”
Lying down on the cot, I replied. “Doesn’t matter. I already ordered delivery.”
His expression darkened, “Why didn’t you tell me you were going to order food Valeria? I’ve told you many times that between Camila and me, there’s nothing left. It’s all about the chemistry on screen. Why are you making such a fuss?”
I responded coldly. “I’m not making a fuss.”
My indifference only fuel his anger more. “So why didn’t you buy the medicine? It’s just a small favor.”
