After I Left, Celebrity Husband Regretted it - Chapter 1
The director yelled cut three times but my husband a celebrity stayed lost in a passionate kiss with his childhood love.
As his assistant I gently reminded him of the situation but his old friend burst into tears in front of the entire crew claiming she was too immersed in her role.
My husband scolded me saying my mind and heart were so dirty that I saw evil everywhere.
That night the paparazzi caught them entering and leaving a five-star our hotel together. In the past this would have shattered me.
I would have obsessed over him rushed to manage the public relations crisis and cried in secret but this time I realized our five years of a hidden marriage meant nothing right after speaking with a lawyer about divorce.
Eduardo walked into the lobby with Camila’s lipstick mark his childhood friend on his neck.
When he saw me his smile faded.
His gaze turned cold and he said, “Valeria you don’t understand your place. This is a lounge for main actors organized by the team. What are you doing here?”
I approached the makeup table and picking up my thermos replied indifferently, “just grabbing my things.”
Eduardo had started his day at 5:00 a.m. I had prepared the food in the thermos at 3.
When I saw it untouched I realized he hadn’t even tasted it. As I turned to leave he frowned irritated and added, “don’t bother preparing food again. It’s inedible.”
It wasn’t the first time he’d criticized my cooking.
Before I might have exploded saying didn’t you say you wanted to eat what I made for life? Why does it disgust you now?
But this time I didn’t even bother to argue and was all I said as I walked out the door Eduardo called out from the doorway tonight.
“There’s a team dinner. The director wants me to talk to Camila about the script,” pretending not to notice the guilt in his voice.
I replied coldly, “all right” after shutting the door. I tossed the thermos in the trash.
The last scene had been filmed near home so Eduardo didn’t stay at the hotel. He returned around midnight seeing I wasn’t waiting for him in the living room like I used to.
He pushed open the bedroom door and said. “Valeria you know I have trouble sleeping. Why didn’t you make my relaxing tea?”
“I ran out of tea leaves.” I replied pulling the blanket over myself. “If you want, order something for delivery.”
He slammed the door and stormed off to his study, his way of showing he was angry.
In the past I would have stayed up all night eventually humbling myself to apologize but that night I didn’t go after him nor did I at dawn.
The next day, the team moved filming to a remote Mountain. For once, Eduardo allowed me to travel with him in the same van.
As soon as I got in, Camilla in a backless dress approached gracefully and asked Eduardo, “do you have any mosquito repellent I always get bitten.”
Seeing me, she changed her tone. “Oh Valeria! you’re coming too? I should probably take another car.”
Before I could respond, Eduardo ordered coldly. “Valeria! Can’t you be reasonable? Stop causing trouble. Take the assistant’s car.”
For the first time, I didn’t argue and stepped out of the van. As I walked away, Eduardo frowned.
Five minutes later, I received a WhatsApp message. Camilla has a scene showing her legs. “Today don’t misinterpret.”
I responded briefly, “understood.”
The typing bubble stayed active for a few minutes. Without thinking I closed whats up and turned off my phone.
Without Eduardo’s command, the scenery along the way became more beautiful. That night as we wrapped up filming a structure the Carpenters had set up collapsed.
